We’re bragging! That’s right – 1896 O’Malley House has been selected as one of the Top 50 Adult Only Accommodations in Louisiana – we even got a badge!
Since we’re coming up on September, we’ve got to mention Martini Madness, put on by Frinds of City Park. Taking place on September 20, 2019 from 7-11pm at the Arbor Room and Popp Fountain in City Park, this adults-only gathering allows connoisseurs to sample 25 different Specialty Martinis whilst also partaking of cuisine from NOLA’s finest restaurants. You’ll also enjoy a DJ, photo booth and a raffle. Tickets start at $75 for general admission starting at 8pm, but you can also buy the $250 pair of tickets with reserved seating and entry at 7pm – a great splurge for a special occasion.
If you’re looking for a more touristy thing to do, how about an Adults-Only Ghost Tour? The Killers & Thrillers Tour by Ghost City Tours starts at 8pm in Pirates’ Alley next to St Louis Cathedral. The tour visits some of the most haunted spots in New Orleans, and you will hear hair-raising historical tales from your guide. Cost is $29.95 per person, and you must buy tickets in advance if you want to make sure of your dates.
Although not strictly for adults only, the World War II Museum is a must for history buffs. If you go on a Wednesday, you can enjoy a lunch and matinee performance of the Victory Belles’ Songs That Won the War, August 14 through November 27, 2019. Purchase tickets here – and in the meantime, get a little peek of the fun:
Last but by no means least, take a riverboat Jazz cruise! The Steamboat Natchez doesn’t offer one for adults only, but the nighttime cruises are geared more for grown-ups. They offer an evening Jazz Cruise that comes with or without dinner. Since NOLA is chock-full of amazing dining options – eat off the boat and just enjoy the music and the evening on the river.
No matter what you choose to do while you’re here – make sure to stay with us for a great adults-only experience!
