Culture, secrecy, education, entertainment, magic, mystery, folklore, history, and legacy – New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum has it all.  This is an attraction that you won’t want to miss when you stay at 1896 O’Malley House.  This unique and interesting little institution in the heart of the French Quarter will make your visit complete.

At the New Orleans Historic VooDoo Museum, you can learn…

History – VooDoo came straight from Africa to our own city of New Orleans!

Zombies, Gris-Gris, and Marie Laveau –  Beings, objects, and important people in the world of VooDoo.

Current Practices and Practitioners – Curious?  Explore modern use of VooDoo through local contemporary experts.

The museum also offers a VooDoo-Cemetary Walking Tour, which takes you to none other than the tomb of Marie Laveau, the VooDoo Queen!  The tour doesn’t miss other notable sites throughout “America’s Most Interesting City.”  The cost for the walking tours is $19 for adults and $10 for children (12 & under), and automatically includes free admission to the museum.  Schedule the tours with 24 hours advance notice, and will last 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

Take home a mystical souvenir to remember New Orleans’ religious culture from our gift shop.  We have everything from VooDoo dolls to informational books.

The museum is open every day from 10 am to 6 pm – check it out!
